Despite the social uproar widespread corruption causes around the globe and at a national level, elimination of corruption doesn’t seem to be a ‘priority area’ for national government. In face of this general apathy, Asot Michael Anti Corruption Mission has come forth as one credible voice against the menaces of corruption.

The importance of anti corruption measures cannot be overemphasized. As we know, from national case studies published the world over, corruption has huge economic and social costs associated to it. And according to Asot Michael Anti Corruption Missions, these costs concern the poor as well the well to do groups of the society. However, the scale and magnitude may vary from transaction to transaction, and country to country.

With certain sectors of the economy more prone to corruption, for example, take the often cited case of ‘facilitation payments’ involved in cross country trade. No one person can gauge the detriments it can cause to the economic well being of a country, especially those in the developing nations. It is for the same reasons, Asot Michael Anti Corruption Mission has come forth to take practical steps against those corrupt government officials who benefit a few at the expense of the ‘large population’

Lack of good governance and functioning government machinery also contribute towards growing corruption instances. However, this can be accepted as an excuse, which means something must be done to curb the cancerous effects of corruption, and to safeguard the standards of justice and economic merit in the society. If we all are on the same page, then we must all put out support behind the Asot Michael Anti Corruption Mission to reestablish the supremacy of merit in our societies.
